Hi there,
my Name is Marc and i am from Germany. My french is unfortunatly not very good. I love my MT-09, but i got some problems with the 106 HP limitation. I think, my bike, though it is labeled for germany is limited to 106 HP.

Presentation
Hi there,
my name is Marc. I am from Germany and ym french is not very good.
The CoC paper of my MT-09 reads as "Version 1" wich is identical to the french version. the german Version usually reads "Version 6". All papers say, i got a 85 KW (116 HP) bike. But the wire within the bike has also a blind greenish wire, without connection, like in the limited french version. So i fear, that my Bike is limited to 106 Horespower like the french Version is.
Are you sure, that all open and unlimited bikes habe no blind cable?
ALso, what happens, if i do the modification to unlock the bike though maybe is already unlocked?

Hello Marc and welcome!
here is the link to the discussion that talks about French bikes that were unrestrained by their owners. It's in French, but there are pictures for you to compare.

do not hesitate if you have other questions.

Hi there,
Yes i am referring to that discussion. My bike should be open, but it got the same blind wire, that has no contact...

Re: Presentation
There is allready a topic about this question and people from Swizzerland and Belgium have given some answers.
It seems that the Green wire doesn't need to be connected to zero volt for other country, the ECU isn't the same compared to the french One.
You should find some explanation in the topic.

Hey Mate,
I did the green wire thing back in the days too and there's no difference if your bike has not been restricted already. Now do not confuse the HP limited and speed limiter @ 132 MPH (212 km/h in the rest of the world )
If maximum power is what you are looking for Flashtune or ECU Unleash has "cracked the code" and remove all speed limit :cyclops: If you don't want to spend $500 or so (not sure how much in your part of the world) I'm using the EJK fuel controller. Easy plug in & tune and does a great job and tuning the mid range and improving the on/off throttle. If you are interested in this option let me know. I usually sell those with my exhaust but if you can't get one I'll ship you one.
Cheers! Let me know if you have any more questions.
